The Modified Girls Softball Team ended 4-7 on the season with dual wins against Fillmore and Hinsdale. May 20th was the final game against Fillmore winning at home in Friendship 19-18. The girls fought hard and battled back in the bottom of the 6th to secure the win. Each player contributed to the scoring with Scio's Maddie K. and Friendship's Harper W. posting 3 runs each as well as Harper scoring the winning run!! Harper also had 2 put outs defensively in left field. Maddie K. pitched a full 6 on the mound with 3 strikeouts and only 3 walks. Amazing win ladies!
Coach Landow extends her appreciation to the players for their hard work, the parents/guardians for the continued support, the grounds crew for getting the fields ready, AD Gertis and Friendship Administration for making this season possible! To the Freshman...I have enjoyed coaching and watching you develop over the last 2 seasons. Good Luck next year on Varsity!

Field trip to Eldred WWII Museum on 5/14/26
Our 8th and 10th grade students were able to experience the World War II Museum in Edred, PA, and what a phenomenal day it was! The museum’s curator provided us with a tour through the museum’s many exhibits and rooms; he shared his vast knowledge of WWII history, along with so many personal stories of soldiers’ experiences. Our students were immersed in WWII and were completely engaged in the presentations! Participating in the scavenger hunt seemed to be the highlight of the day; it may have been challenging to locate every piece of memorabilia, but in their collaborative search for each artifact, so many other pieces of important history were discovered. Our students learned a lot and had an enjoyable time in the process. They highly recommend the museum to others! Thank you to the museum’s curator, Kyle, and the director, Liz, for hosting us!

Dear Families of Junior and Senior Students,
On Friday, May 1, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, juniors and seniors will participate in a Mock DWI Crash event of school grounds. This educational experience is designed to show students the real‑life impact and consequences of drinking and driving, and is especially timely as students prepare for prom and graduation season.
Please be aware that the presentation may include emotionally difficult topics. Mental health counselors will be available on site to support students throughout the event. If your student has any sensitivities or trigger concerns that we should be aware of, please contact the school as soon as possible so we can provide appropriate support. Thank you for your partnership in helping keep our students safe and informed.
