Why I Love Teaching:
“I love teaching because every day brings something new and exciting. Working with kids keeps me inspired—their energy, curiosity, and creativity make each moment meaningful. I enjoy creating interactive lessons that engage students and help them make real connections to what they’re learning. Being a positive force and a role model in their lives is deeply rewarding, especially when I see that “light bulb” moment—when understanding clicks and their confidence grows. Watching them persevere through challenges and discover what they’re capable of reminds me why I chose this profession and why I’m so passionate about it.”
Best Advice for Students:
" You are capable of more than you can imagine, you just have to push through and never give up.”
Favorite Hobby:
" I’m a creative, artistic person who enjoys spending quality time with my boys.”
Favorite Book:
““I have too many favorites to choose from, but at this moment my top pick would be The Perfect Marriage.”
Fun Fact:
“I love to travel and have visited 5 countries.”

🌟 Teacher Spotlight: Angela Anderson🌟
Why I Love Teaching:
“My teachers pushed me to do hard things and allowed me opportunities to step outside of my comfort zone so that I could grow. They saw potential in me that I did not see. I love teaching because I get to do the same for my students.”
Best Advice for Students:
"Fear kills more dreams than failure ever will. Don't be afraid to fail. You never know what you are capable of until you try, problem-solve, and then try again!”
Favorite Hobby:
"I wrote a children's book called, Grandma's Blankets, that is in the process of being illustrated by my talented cousin, Emily Congdon Rickey.”
Favorite Book:
The Story of Ruby Bridges by Robert Coles—”I get chills and tears every time I read this book because Ruby, as a 1st grade student, found courage to change the course of history.”
Fun Fact:
“I've visited 17 different countries, including China, where I taught at the Beijing Institute of Technology for two years. Other than China, I have had the privilege of visiting schools in The Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Jamaica, and Uganda. I have stepped foot on every continent except Antarctica, and I enjoy finding ways to bring my traveling experiences back to the classroom. Despite all of my traveling, I still get lost in Olean.”
