Robert Langdon came into the Friendship Careers Class to discuss his job as a surveyor. It was great to see how surveying has come from the Egyptians to early America to the modern day. In the early days of the US to survey anything you needed a crew of 10+ crew members but today it can be done with 1-3 people. Its incredible how many operations of our lives are influenced by surveying. The math needed to be a surveyor is definitely incredible. Finally it was impressed on the class that the orange stakes in the ground that are left by a surveyor need to stay in place because its against the law and ultimately it would cost the landowner money to replace the stake. Thank you Mr. Langdon for sharing your expertise and spending time with our class.
